Johnston Elementary observed Career Week prior to Spring Break. School wide activities and guest speakers were scheduled Monday through Thursday. Each day held its own special activity and career specialists. These specialists from the community spoke to the students and gave them information on a wide variety of occupations and careers.
Tiffany Freeman, JES guidance counselor, coordinated the events. She stated, “I want to thank all of our guests. Without them this week would not have been possible. It speaks well of our community when adults are willing to share with our children. Thanks go to the following: Brian Davenport, Byron and Sandra Robinson, Jonathan Cantrell, Emma Abney, Sharon Clarke, Felecia Wallace, Sheena Walker, Brad Lawson, Fitzgerald Ryans, Frank Nicholson, Melody Moore, Officer Morgan & Hulk, Garrett Lynn, Freddie Martin, Christopher Whatley, Officer Josh Corley, Rebekah Brown, and Retired 1st Sgt. Joseph Coleman.” Johnston Elementary continues to prepare their students for life after graduation.
