Grits with Grands at JES
Grandparents of Johnston Elementary students enjoyed sharing breakfast with their grandchildren Friday, September 14th. The menu included cheese grits, sausage, and fruit cups. Approximately 140 grands and other special guests attended the annual event making it the largest turnout in recent history. Sandy Mims, cafeteria manager stated, “I am always overjoyed to see the outpouring of love shown by our grandparents and special guests when we have a school event. The faculty and staff went above and beyond with this breakfast to make sure everything ran smoothly while my staff served our guests.”
